Suprep is indicated for cleansing of the colon as a preparation for colonoscopy in adult patients. [1]
Common side effects
Most common adverse reactions in adults include overall discomfort, abdominal distension, abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. [1] In a randomized active-controlled trial using the split-dose (2-day) regimen, the most common reported adverse reactions in adults were: overall discomfort (54%), abdominal distension (40%), abdominal pain (36%), nausea (36%), and vomiting (8%). [1]
Less common adverse reactions
Less common adverse reactions reported include atrioventricular (AV) block (1 case) and creatine kinase (CK) increase. [1]
