Esophageal Candidiasis (Adult) Fluconazole Dosing

Oral fluconazole is recommended for esophageal candidiasis at 200 mg loading dose, followed by 100–200 mg daily (maximum 400 mg daily) for 14–21 days. [1]

Alternative for Oral Intolerance

Intravenous fluconazole can be used when oral therapy cannot be tolerated at 400 mg daily (6 mg/kg daily). [2]
