Cephalexin Dosing for UTI in Pregnancy

Cephalexin is used for treatment of asymptomatic bacteriuria or lower urinary tract infection in pregnancy at 250–500 mg by mouth every 6 hours with a 3–7 day course. [1]

Dosing for Acute Cystitis or Asymptomatic Bacteriuria

Recommended oral dosing is cephalexin 500 mg PO every 6 hours for 3–7 days. [1]

Dosing for Urinary Tract Infection Suppression (After Treatment)
