Typical Symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis
Multiple sclerosis (MS) commonly causes neurologic symptoms that vary by the location of central nervous system injury. Symptoms may include sensory changes, weakness, vision problems, balance or coordination difficulty, fatigue, and bladder or bowel dysfunction. [1]
Sensory Symptoms
- Numbness, tingling, or burning sensations are common. [1]
- Chronic pain can occur. [1]
Motor Symptoms
- Muscle weakness is commonly reported, often affecting the hands or legs. [1]
- Spasticity and abnormal muscle sensations related to neurologic impairment may occur. [1]
Vision Symptoms
